About
Hello, my name is Sarah Erickson. My husband and I live in South Dakota with our two kids, and much of my life has always been rooted in creating from home.
I started making jewelry when I was about 14 years old. I needed a handmade gift for a white elephant exchange and decided—completely unsure of what I was doing—to try making a beaded necklace. It turned out far from perfect, but that moment sparked something in me.
From there, I became completely fascinated with jewelry design. Throughout high school, I spent countless hours teaching myself new techniques and exploring different styles. Being homeschooled gave me the freedom to fully immerse myself in creativity, and I was able to participate in local art shows and markets, which taught me how to connect with customers and understand what people look for in handmade jewelry.
Later, life shifted into college, marriage, and moving into new seasons of life. During those years, jewelry took a quieter role in my life—but I always found my way back to it.
Everything changed again during the pandemic, when I finally had the time and space to create the way I used to. I rediscovered how deeply I love designing and making jewelry, and I knew I couldn’t set it aside again.
In 2021, I took a leap and began teaching myself silversmithing. At first, it felt intimidating and out of reach. But I decided to simply try. I studied, practiced, failed, and tried again—and somewhere in that process, I fell in love with it.
Silversmithing opened a new world for my designs. It allowed me to bring ideas to life that weren’t possible with wire alone, while still honoring the minimalist style I’ve always been drawn to.
Today, I continue to grow and refine my craft through both wire work and silversmithing. At the heart of everything I create is a love for simplicity, intention, and wearable design.
